Even Britney Spears' divorce lawyer is ready to give up on her.
High-profile attorney Laura Wasser is reportedly ready to resign in the ongoing custody battle against Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline, TMZ.com reports.
Sources connected to the case say Wasser has put Spears in touch with other lawyers to help her in her battle to keep custody of sons Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 10 months.
Calls to Wasser were not returned.
While Spears' legal team may be leaving her in the lurch, the singer isn't lacking for companionship. After a string of flings over the past several weeks, Spears has spent the past two nights with "Mindfreak" magician Criss Angel.
The "Toxic" singer was spotted going into the W Hotel in Westwood around 3 a.m. yesterday and didn't come out until later in the morning. A day earlier, she and Angel were seen going into the Tower Hotel in Beverly Hills together.
Angel said yesterday he was merely helping Spears with a possible performance for the MTV Video Music Awards, telling People magazine: "It's amazing what people think....We're not together. Her manager is my manager. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV."
