Angeline & Brad pay $100,000 a month to live at Waldorf

Brangelina has landed -- at the Waldorf Towers.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are plunking down nearly $100,000 a month to rent a super-deluxe pad at the ritzy hotel residence on East 50th Street, sources told The Post yesterday.

The pair plus their four kids quietly began recently living in a newly renovated, roughly 6,000-square-foot apartment at the famed site after deciding to make Manhattan their home, at least for the time being, sources said.

The global couple believes that the fully furnished pad is ideal for them, the sources said.

It's got location -- only a stone's throw from the United Nations, for which Jolie is a goodwill ambassador, and near the tony French school where eldest child Maddox goes.

There's also plenty of room for the growing family, considering the sprawling apartment features five bedrooms plus a library that they have converted into a sixth, up to six baths and a huge gourmet kitchen.

In addition, the pad boasts terraces with sweeping views of the city.

"It's actually grander than the [Towers'] Presidential Suite," one broker said.

And security? Fuhgeddaboutit.

"If they can take care of the leaders of the free world, these people shouldn't be that much of a problem," a building source said, referring to the Towers' past guests, including every U.S. president since Herbert Hoover.

One drawback could involve the laid-back Pitt, who has been known to favor T-shirts and jeans when not attending Hollywood movie premieres.

The snooty Towers, which sits next to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, has a "dress attire" that forbids guests to wear "T-shirts, tank tops, faded jeans, cut-offs and casual hats" in its main lobby, restaurants or other public areas.

Still, the star may be willing to occasionally forgo his casual clothes in exchange for the other perks residents enjoy, including room service, twice-daily maid service, a round-the-clock concierge -- even a weekly magic show for the kids.

"Everything you ever need is provided, including a tailor," one source said. "All you literally need to bring is your toothbrush. And they'll even provide one of those if you forget yours."

Pitt and Jolie had considered hunkering down with their young clan at the tony Time-Warner Center, one source said.

But they got a slight cost break at the Towers, where they were given the huge apartment at slightly below the asking price, one source said.

Other smaller apartments at the residence usually rent for between $70,000 and $90,000. But if you're on a particularly tight budget, you can get a 900-square-foot one-bedroom for about $25,000.

The historic Presidential Suite rents for about $7,500 a night.

The couple should be already comfortable with their surroundings, being no strangers to the place.

Jolie is said to have fallen in love with a four-legged resident during one visit last year: a tiny Yorkshire terrier who freely roamed the halls while his wealthy owners lived there.

The apartments are typically loaded with antiques, with some featuring custom-made, needlepoint rugs, hand-painted murals of Tuscany and marble rotundas.

When one resident wanted to install a lap pool in her pad, management spent a year trying to oblige, although in the end, they were forced to abandon the project.

About 25 percent of the 123 suites are available for long-term use, usually snapped up by everyone from CEOs to celebs.
