After months of denials, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have seemingly finally confirmed their relationship after they were snapped hugging and holding hands in Rome.
The pair were in Italy to premiere their new film Rendition at the city’s film festival over the weekend and were spotted holding hands as they walked around the capital ahead of Sunday’s red carpet event.
The couple are said to have started dating in secret in March but split again in June after Reese thought their relationship was happening too soon after her split from now ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. However, Jake was spotted at Martha’s Vineyard later in the summer, close to where Reese was holidaying with her children Ava and Deacon, sparking rumors that their romance was back on.
An onlooker in Rome reported: “They looked very happy and thoroughly at ease with each other.”
On Monday, the pair were returned to Los Angeles and were spotted enjoying a brief kiss while leaving LAX airport.
