Former Hole singer and the widow of Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, was refused to board a flight for London out of Los Angeles last week … because she was smoking in the first class lounge.
Love was at LAX with her daughter Frances Bean when she lit up a cigarette in the Virgin Atlantic Airlines lounge.
Ironically, she made her complaint known via Virgin radio. "I had a fag in the first class lounge, like two hits, and they wouldn't let me on the plane with my daughter," she said on a radio program. "They made some big thing like I'm a fucking terrorist or something. It was embarrassing."
Love has been pretty much inactive since the release of her solo album 'America's Sweetheart' in 2004.
She has been working on her second solo record, 'Nobody's Daughter', which is expected to be released this year, although it is yet to be scheduled by Linda Perry's Custard Records.
She is also acting as Executive Producer and advisor for the Universal Pictures movie 'Heavier Than Heaven' which is based on the Kurt Cobain biography by Charles R. Cross. - source
