Billy Bob Thornton was not responsible for claiming his ex-wife Angelina Jolie is going through "a high school phase," according to a rep for the "Bad Santa" star.
On Monday, a story circulated on the internet, claiming Billy Bob bashed Angelina's relationship with Brad Pitt.
"She is just going through a high school phase. You know, dating the quarterback of the football team with Brad Pitt over there," Billy Bob was quoted telling AskMen.com at a press launch for his new music album. "She'll be waking up from that dream in no time."
Billy was also quoted saying Jolie and Pitt - the parents of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and very shortly, twin girls - "had nothing in common."
"Who knows if I'll be there when she's ready to come to her senses though," Billy Bob supposedly said.
However, the quotes are all false, a rep said.
