Natasha Bedingfield will make her debut on 'Degrassi' during the show's season finale.
The British singer, who shares a scene with Liberty van Zant (Sarah Barrable-Tishauer), told CTV.ca that she finds the North American prom experience a strange one.
"We don't really do proms the way you guys do proms, where you really go all out," said Bedingfield.
Bedingfield will perform her hit "Pocket Full of Sunshine" on the episode airing Monday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Before Bedingfield takes to the stage in "We Built This City," Liberty must figure out how to plan the perfect night -- even if an unplanned make-out session with Damian (Mazin Elsadig) throws her personal life off track.
But Despite Liberty's best efforts, Damian's girlfriend Emma (Miriam McDonald) finds out about her betrayal -- which means their seven year friendship may be over.
Even though there is friction on-screen, Goldsbie says he enjoys filming the "prom" episodes because it's a rare chance for all the cast to shoot a group scene together.
"It even feels like a real prom -- except for whenever someone yells 'cut,'" says Goldsbie during a break in "Degrassi" filming.
"Party days like this are always the best."
This past season of "Degrassi" has been packed with more drama than ever, from Darcy (Shenae Grimes) attempting suicide to Spinner (Shane Kippel) battling testicular cancer.
Season eight is currently in production in Toronto. An airdate has not been set. via
