Daniel Radcliffe may be getting nude on Broadway, but his Harry Potter BFF apparently has other plans.
Emma Watson may be giving up her room and board at Hogwart's for a spot at Harvard University. The actress was spied touring the Harvard campus, visiting the Admissions Office and taking a peek at Quincy dormitory.
Prior to the visit, Watson (AKA Hermione Granger) told the UK Daily Telegraph, “I’ve applied to a few universities for next year, including several American ones. If I do go there, I will do a liberal arts degree, but if I stay in the UK I’ll do English literature.”
There’s been speculation over the past several weeks that Watson may be applying to Harvard, and her presence on campus may reinforce these claims. She was spotted at the Ivy League mainstay by student Brian P. Hill, who was so flustered by the brush with fame saying, “I actually called my mom; I was so distraught,” he told the Harvard Crimson. “It was all I could think about for the entire morning.”
The Dean of Admissions William R. Fitzsimmons declined to comment, saying he does not discuss individual cases. Watson herself gave away little tof her plans, saying she was “just visiting.”
But if she does attend, she wouldn't be the first to successfully tackle Hollywood and Harvard. She'd follow in the footsteps of Natalie Portman and Mira Sorvino. Jodie Foster, of course, was a Yale girl. via
