And straight after Saturday’s show, the singer, who is 27 tomorrow, was jeered for failing to sing during a personal appearance at a gay night in London.
They were Britney’s only two engagements on a 24-hour whistlestop visit to the UK.
Thirteen million people saw her three-minute X Factor slot – her first UK performance in five years – and ITV internet forums were awash with moans.
One said: “Superstar my butt.”
Another said: “All she can do is mime, and not very well.”
Yesterday her record label Sony declined to comment. But a label source told the Mirror: “She has always mimed – it was all about the dance routines.” via
