The three-year romance between Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel may not be "Dead and Gone" just yet, but the star couple might want to put in a call to "The Love Guru."
On the heels of an Us Weekly report Wednesday morning that the "SexyBack" singer, 28, and the "7th Heaven" actress, 27, had called it quits in August, People.com reported Wednesday afternoon that the two are still together.
People's sources, however, did confirm that the couple is in a rough patch, as reported in July by the Daily News' Gatecrasher column.
"Things have been a bit up in the air recently," an inside source said. "They've been spending more time apart - more time with each of their friends, and they've been reevaluating [their relationship]."
That explanation would fit with the behavior described in the Us Weekly report, which included reports of Timberlake being "on the hunt" during New York Fashion Week last month, and a sultry dance with a tall blond in a short black dress at a Manhattan club on September 9.
However, People cites sources in reporting that Timberlake is in talks to join Biel for Summit on the Summit, a climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the clean water crisis. "Transformers" actress Isabel Lucas is also committed to take part in the climb along with singers Lupe Fiasco and Kenna.
Timberlake and Biel were first spotted together in January 2007, first at a Golden Globe party thrown by Prince, then at the Sundance Film Festival later in the month. Timberlake has also been linked to actress Cameron Diaz and singer Britney Spears.
