An appearance by American Idol star Adam Lambert on a US breakfast show has been cancelled following criticism over his American Music Awards performance.
More than 1,500 people complained after Lambert kissed a male musician on stage during his act on Sunday.
ABC's Good Morning America said it was "concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning".
Lambert told the On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio show that he "respects" ABC's decision.
The 27-year-old had been due to sing on Good Morning America.
"It's too bad. I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me," he said.
"They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren't happy about it."
At the music awards - also broadcast by ABC - the singer also simulated a sex act on stage with a back-up dancer during his performance of single For Your Entertainment.
Shortly after the cancellation was announced, network CBS announced that Lambert would appear on rival programme The Early Show. - link
