Young Hollywood, take note: Lindsay Lohan is no role model – even for those living in the fastest of lanes.
So says her former BFF, socialite Courtenay Semel, in a candid interview in the upcoming December issue of Curve, a magazine for the lesbian community, in which she details her relationship with the troubled starlet.
Semel, who had a stint in rehab herself earlier this year, says, "I always said you'll never see me get a DUI, you'll never see me falling drunk out of a club, you'll never see me get arrested, you'll never see that side of me and unfortunately, it did happen. I did take responsibility for my actions. ... But, at the same time, I think, you know, everyone scrutinizes, Lindsay for everything she went through, but they should thank her, because it shows you exactly what not to do."
Semel – who has dated MTV reality TV star Tila Tequila and jokingly says in the article, "I'd like to to say that I'm kind of like the Don Juan of the lesbian world" – tells Curve she and Lohan's relationship ended after reports emerged claiming the pair were dating – something she suspects was planted in the media by people with ill intentions.
