Kate Moss breaks down at charity auction

Kate Moss could not control her tears at the star-studded 'Fashion For Relief Haiti' show after Philip Green bid 100,000 pound for a dress by her friend, designer Alexander McQueen.

The model, who is still reeling from the tragic death of the 40-year-old fashion designer, managed a brave face as she proudly strutted down the runway in the print mini-dress from his Spring/Summer 2010 range.

But welled up when she saw the design go under the hammer to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Haiti. Topshop boss Sir Philip Green put in the final bid of 100,000 pound for the design, a daily reported.

McQueen was found dead at his flat in Mayfair last Thursday, on the eve of his mother's funeral.

A who's who of fashion and celebrity turned out for the fundraiser, which was organised by Naomi Campbell. It was attended by Sarah Brown, Denise Van Outen, Geri Halliwell, Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh and Dame Shirley Bassey Zand.
