Jessica Simpson has made her feelings clear about America's obsession with her weight.
She has spoken about the tough time she went through last year when unflattering images of her in high-waisted trousers made the headlines.
She told Allure magazine: "I would not wish on my worst enemy what I went through."
She said: "When I walk through an airport and people go, 'You're not fat.' I’m like, 'Thanks. Thanks. That's great. Good to know I'm not fat today. Thank you.'"
The Texan-born actress revealed travelling the world has opened her eyes to Western media ideals of how women should look: "When I think of America, it’s very diverse, but we do have the cookie-cutter way we’re supposed to look, and going to all these countries, it’s so completely different."
She went on to brand the US country's obsession with weight "disgusting".
"My job is to be creative. And I’m not weighing in for anybody," she added defiantly.
