A "full recovery" may still be possible for Bret Michaels, doctors say, but the 47-year-old reality TV and rock star still faces an uphill climb after his hospitalization Thursday.
Michaels' publicist confirmed to ABCNews.com on Friday that the frontman of the glam-metal band Poison had suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, or bleeding at the base of his brain stem. On Sunday, statements posted on bretmichaels.com, the star's official website indicated that Michaels was still in the intensive care unit at an undisclosed hospital and in critical condition. The statements also indicated that doctors had not yet located the source of the bleeding in his brain.
